Flynn Energy Participates in Towanda's Independence Day Parade

Towanda, PA – As part of Flynn Energy’s summer roll out of its ‘American Heroes’ Campaign the company recently took part in Towanda’s Independence Day Parade festivities. According to The Daily Review at the Independence Day ceremony on Friday in Towanda, Towanda Mayor Garrett Miller presented a “key to the city” to World War II veteran Bill Wall, who flew on a combat air mission on D-Day and who was the grand marshal in Towanda’s Independence Day parade on Friday.

The mayor said the key to the city was for Wall and for other veterans who attended the ceremony.

The mayor said he wanted to honor the country’s veterans, who have “fought and sacrificed so much through the course of our history and, still to this day, are willing to lay down their lives to keep us free.”

“It’s because of brave veterans like Bill that we can even celebrate our independence,” the mayor said.

Flynn’s participation in the event was the perfect kick-off to their latest campaign that honors current and former military service men and women.

“We have a number of active and former service men and women that are actively employed at our company, so to us it is a great way for us to not only show appreciation to our military, but also to our current employees” Flynn Energy president EJ Flynn said.

As part of Flynn’s campaign they have established a program that will donate $0.02 of every gallon that is delivered from its ‘American Heroes’ truck to the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors organization.
