Towanda- Flynn Energy recently held its first ever Veteran’s Appreciation Day on November 11th at Flynn Beverage. The event honored veterans for their sacrifice and dedication to service in the United States military.
As part of the event Flynn Energy and Flynn Beverage provided lunch to hundreds of area residents including veterans and their families. The Flynn Propane American Hero bobtail truck was on hand for visitors to take in. Flynn Beverage gave a number of door prizes to those in attendance. The event raised $2,116.00 through a fund drive that will be donated to a local veterans organization.
“We can’t say enough how much we appreciate the service that many men and women have made for our country. We have a number of employees with military experience, so this event is just a little way for us to show our gratitude towards those who are active military and veterans,” Flynn Energy president E.J. Flynn said.
Flynn Energy has established a program that will donate $0.02 of every gallon that is delivered from its ‘American Heroes’ truck to the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors organization.
Flynn Energy believes in giving back to its local community, and customers. Throughout the past year Flynn Energy has offered support to many fundraising events, and hosts an annual golf tournament and customer appreciation days.
